Dr. Katrina Warren has taken Pet Reconnect under her wing and will be updating Pet Reconnect with Council pounds, foster care and other important news as it comes to hand. Its great to know you will be able to rely on our information to be up to date and accurate. Please see our News page for the latest on foster care - the RSPCA's urgent need for adoptions and Council pound timelines for retaining animals.
Message from Dr. Katrina:
"My thoughts are with each and everyone of you who has a beloved pet missing- I can't imagine how stressful this must be.
One of the biggest issues with the councils pet listings is that people often describe pets differently to how others see them. PLease visit the council pounds in person if possible and remember that pets are turning up a long way away from home so visit as many pounds as possible. I am crossing my fingers for many more happy reunions soon."
Checking with RSPCA, Pounds, Vets and Councils the Animal Welfare League Qld and the Facebook page links below will also better your chances of reconnecting with your animals
For the latest information on Brisbane, Ipswich and Lockyer Pounds go to our News and Resoures pages
Check the Toowoomba Chronicle and Gatton Star Newspaper lists here.

Remember ALL horse listings must also be provided to the Qld Horse Council who are keeping a database for horses. Please contact them at http://www.qldhorsecouncil.com/default.aspx
"Lost Horse Register -The Qld Horse Council will be handling the lost horse register, contact point for lost horses, found horses and found dead horses. Call Debbie Dekker email [email protected]. (email preferred!) 07 54646785. Biosecurity Qld will also be taking info and forwarding it to us – that number is 132523. Also as an online connection we are working with PET ReCONNECT and their service also includes domestic pets. As many identifying features are required even on dead animals – we want to be able to bring some closure to owners who have lost horses and also have accurate figures of lost horses at the end of this. Photos if possible for identification on lost and found, even found dead horses."
